I’d like to announce that the wonderful, amazing Michelson Gallery in downtown Northampton, MA is now selling my original artwork. Right now they have paintings from my book Prince of a Frog displayed in their Illustration Gallery!
I’m nothing short of delighted.

I’ve been visiting Michelson Gallery for the last 10 years. It is more of a small museum with 2 floors of art, hosting some remarkable fine artists like: Leonard Baskin, Barry Moser, Leonard Nimoy and children’s illustrators like Jerry Pinkney, Grace Lin, Maurice Sendak, Alice Provensen, Mo Willems and many more. Not only do they show a wide variety of great art but everyone there is welcoming and warm. Be sure to include time for a conversation about art, life and a few stories about the artwork and the artists when you visit.

Richard Michelson himself, is a children's book author in his own right. You may recognize some of his book titles: Busing Brewster, Across the Alley and Fascinating: the Life of Leonard Nimoy.

Michelson Gallery also hosts a Children’s Book Illustrator’s Annual Party and show. It’s a place where you can expect to meet just about anyone! Western Massachusetts is home to many, many amazing children’s authors, illustrators and luminaries. If you’re a librarian, teacher, artist or fan of children’s books and art this is the place to be!

And if you come to visit Michelson Gallery, you must also visit the nearby Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art and the Yiddish Book Center, both extraordinary museums.
